Created a facial front and side view image in order to design an avatar that looks like me, a mini me if you will. Used the facial mapping in CrazyTalk 8 to export a realistic head that was attached to a PBR Avatar model in Iclone for one of the characters the other was exported directly from CrazyTalk 8 to Character Creator 2.01 for Iclone 7 with PBR textures. Can you tell which is which, and which one looks more realistic? Attempted to use two avatars to conduct a long interview yesterday and now realize I very much need a tutorial on the facial expression editor to make it very realistic when speaking. I like aspects of both of the characters and need a few more iterations to work out some geometry issues, especially in the mouth area. The original file is a 20gig AVI with very high resolution, once putting it thru an mpeg conversion with compression, ended up with some digital macroblocking for some reason? So, created a PNG sequence from the AVI file and then converted to mpeg without much issue for a much smaller file size, about 120 mbytes versus 20 gigabytes for the AVI. That kinda storage needs a RAID disc.
